The Accidental Festival
In 2010, I programmed and documented a 3 day performance festival at the Battersea Arts Centre called The Accidental Festival. Our aim was to create a festival with audiences at its heart - which informed a weekend of work that balanced the experimental with points of access. For our artists, we wanted to create a space that facilitated conversation across practices and experience. We programmed new work, new artists, established work and established artists alongside each other. Some people who performed included Indigo Williams, LEIBNIZ, Katy Francis, Astrid Breel, Nenagh Watson and Astrid Breel.
In addition to leading the programming team, I also managed our documentation team on site. This was the second year that I was the official photographer for the festival.
