Request to performance companies and spaces

We ask theatres and theatre companies interested in contributing to this project, to allow Jemima to photograph the audience of a piece of performance you feel is important. This process necessitates that audiences are given a disclaimer prior to entering the performance space, so they consent to being photographed. Jemima would be happy to negotiate a no loss documentation session of the given performance in exchange for a photograph of an audience. In regards to dissemination, nothing without full consent of the audience and the theatre will be published online. Ultimately, the archive will only exist in print form.

Requests to galleries and exhibition spaces

Jemima is looking for a space to exhibit The Audience at the end of 2013. The space should consider itself to be a cultural center in the UK, ideally locating its ethos at the forefront of the dialogue on performance theory and the impact of live art. Architecturally, the space should either be flexible or non linear. Tentatively, there will be between 10 - 15 images on exhibit. Each print will be at least A0 in size, with selected portraits printed at 2A0. The organization should be willing to work with the artist on publicity of the show and have the exhibition as part of the programme. If there is an in house curator that would be willing to collaborate on the exhibiting and selecting of images, that would greatly benefit the project.
